Jesus invites us to “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). As our nation takes steps to confront the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, we choose to respond in a commonsense manner that demonstrates our concern for the welfare of all. We are committed as a church in alignment with our allegiance to Jesus Christ to respect and follow the counsel and instructions of our local, state, and national governments.
We encourage every member to likewise adhere to the guidelines provided by the State of Michigan and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Review the CDC’s guidelines for protecting yourself, your family, and your community here. Guidelines specific to our state are available here.
In accordance with instructions from the State of Michigan and the CDC:
- All weekday church events are canceled until further notice. A call-in option for Prayer Meeting will be available on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (see more information below). The remaining two sessions of the Depression & Anxiety Recovery seminar are postponed until further notice.
- Our weekly Sabbath worship service will be online only (continues through March 28). Instead of attending church in person, please watch the live-streamed weekly worship service via via our YouTube channel beginning at 10:50 a.m. each Sabbath.
- All Sabbath School classes are canceled (continues through March 28). Look for an email later this week with updated in-home Sabbath School options.
